Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone has resurfaced in a leaked video, offering the clearest look yet at what could become the company’s first foldable smartphone. The device, widely expected to launch as the iPhone Ultra, appears to adopt a book-style design with a wider form factor than rival foldables from Samsung and Google.
Apple has not confirmed the device. The latest leak, however, adds to growing speculation that the company is preparing to enter the foldable smartphone segment in 2026.
A video shared by tipster Majin Bu on X reportedly shows a dummy unit of the iPhone Ultra from multiple angles. The device appears to fold horizontally like a book and opens into a tablet-sized display.
Unlike most foldables that use tall and narrow screens, the leaked model features a wider 4:3 aspect ratio. Reports suggest Apple may be aiming for an iPad-like experience when the device is unfolded. The design also includes a horizontal camera module on the rear panel and a side-mounted power button.
The video further shows a USB Type-C port, stereo speakers, and Apple's Action Button. Reports indicate Apple could also bring back Touch ID through the power button instead of Face ID due to space constraints inside the foldable chassis.
Leaks suggest the foldable iPhone could run on Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The inner display is expected to measure around 7.8 inches, while the outer screen could be between 5.3 and 5.5 inches. Both displays are tipped to use LTPO OLED panels with support for a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Reports also point to Ceramic Shield protection for the external display.
On the camera front, Apple may use a dual-rear-camera setup with a main sensor and an ultra-wide lens. A front-facing camera for selfies and video calls is also expected.

Most reports point to a September 2026 launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. Some industry watchers, however, believe engineering challenges with the hinge mechanism could further delay the device. Apple is reportedly focused on reducing display creases and improving long-term durability before bringing the product to market.
If launched this year, the iPhone Ultra is expected to become Apple's most expensive smartphone yet, with pricing likely to cross Rs. 2 lakh in India.
