Overview

  • Ultra-bright 6.8-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display offers flagship-level visuals in the mid-range segment.

  • Triple 50 MP cameras with 4K60 video on both front and rear enhance creator content.

  • Massive 7,000 mAh battery with 80 W fast charging delivers exceptional endurance.

A fresh option has emerged in the mid-range smartphone space with the Realme 15 Pro. Announced on July 24, 2025, and available for purchase starting July 30, this phone brings flashy features and AI-powered capabilities. Buyers in India will find it priced between Rs. 31,999 to Rs. 38,999, depending on the memory configuration.

This Realme 15 Pro review gives buyers a look at the model’s capabilities and prices through launch discounts and bank exchange offers that bring the cost down further.

Design and Build

This phone emphasizes fashionable and elegant design. It comes in three colors, Flowing Silver, Velvet Green, and Silk Purple, and feels light at around 187 grams. With a thickness of just 7.7 to 7.8 millimeters, it is surprisingly slim despite hosting a 7,000 mAh battery.

Realme claims it features “IP69+ Corning Glass” for enhanced durability, but since there is no official third-party certification yet, caution is still sensible. Overall, the curved edges and narrow bezels give the device an upscale and comfy feel.

Display

The display is a standout feature. It’s a large, smooth, 6.8-inch curved AMOLED panel offering a high resolution (1.5K), fast 144 Hz refresh rate, and extreme brightness of up to 6,500 nits. It also supports ultra–high touch sensitivity, rated at 2,500 Hz, making taps and swipes feel snappy.

The high brightness and smooth motion make reading in sunlight, watching videos, and navigating social feeds feel more premium than typical mid-range phones.

Performance and Cooling

Realme 15 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip built on a 4-nanometer process. It comes with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage up to 512 GB. For everyday use, like browsing, launching apps, and switching between tasks, the phone feels smooth.

Realme mentions that games like Free Fire and BGMI can run at 120 fps and 90 fps respectively. It also uses a vapor-chamber cooling system, which helps manage heat. While it performs impressively for its class, it does not match last year’s more powerful 8-series chips or the highest-tier competitors.

Cameras

The camera setup includes three 50 MP sensors: a main camera, an ultrawide lens, and a front-facing selfie camera. The main camera uses a Sony IMX896 sensor and includes OIS (optical image stabilization), while both rear and front cameras can record 4K60 video. In daylight, pictures are clear and well-colored, while low-light shots improve with stabilization.

The selfie camera performs notably well for skin tones and detail. A drawback is the lack of a dedicated telephoto lens, meaning zooming or portrait shots rely on software rather than optical hardware.

Battery Life and Charging

Battery life is a key strength here. The large 7,000 mAh battery supports 80-watt fast charging, and the necessary adapter is included in the box. With typical activity, scrolling social media, video, occasional gaming, chatting, the device easily lasts a full day and often beyond. The combination of high capacity and fast charging offers both endurance and convenience for heavy users.

Software and AI Features

Realme 15 Pro runs Realme UI 6.0 on top of Android 15 out of the box. It introduces AI tools that set it apart from competitors. The “AI Edit Genie” allows editing photos using voice commands, such as removing objects, changing backgrounds, reducing glare, or adjusting exposure.

Another feature, “AI Party Mode,” adds creative frames and watermarks to low-light shots and optimizes exposure in club or party settings. The core camera app also includes modes like AI Landscape, MagicGlow, and enhanced Night mode. Both rear and front cameras support high-quality 4K60 video recording, a rare treat in this price range.

Connectivity and Other Features

The phone supports dual SIM with 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and offers an in-display fingerprint sensor. It even includes an IR blaster for controlling household gadgets like TVs. Navigation tools cover GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, and QZSS. Accessories in the box include a protective case and the fast charger, making the value proposition stronger for buyers.

Indian Market Pricing

Realme 15 Pro price for all four  of its configurations is: 8 GB/128 GB for Rs. 31,999; 8 GB/256 GB for Rs. 33,999; 12 GB/256 GB for Rs. 35,999; and 12 GB/512 GB for Rs. 38,999. Initial offers like bank discounts and exchange deals trimmed the effective price significantly. A standard Realme 15 model, sans “Pro,” started at Rs. 25,999, offering a budget-friendlier doorway to similar features.

How it Stacks Up

Competitors include Xiaomi’s 14 Civi, OnePlus Nord 5, and Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE. Xiaomi brings faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 performance and sleek styling. OnePlus leans on fluid software and snappier raw speed.

Samsung shines with a strong brand, longer software support, and polished camera output. Realme leans on what others don’t offer: an ultra-bright, curved 144 Hz screen; dual 4K60 video capability; and massive battery life with bundled fast charging.

Strengths

This phone hits a sweet spot by combining a striking display, outstanding battery endurance, and strong video features for creators. The cameras work well in daylight and decent in low light. AI tools bring creative convenience, while the slim, stylish design feels more premium than expected at this price point.

Trade-Offs

For hardcore gamers chasing top-tier performance, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 may feel underwhelming compared to Snapdragon 8-series or Dimensity 9200-class chips. The absence of optical zoom means that portraits or distant shots rely on software, affecting image depth and clarity. Durability claims like IP69+ remain unverified by external testing, so caution with water exposure is still wise.

Final Thoughts

As of mid-August 2025, the Realme 15 Pro proves to be a strong contender in the Rs. 30,000–Rs. 35,000 zone. It excels at delivering standout display brightness, long-lasting battery life, and creative video features, all packaged in an attractive design.

While not leading in raw performance or specialized zoom capabilities, it delivers a well-rounded, value-packed experience. For everyday users and video-savvy creators, this model offers plenty of reasons to consider it a compelling choice.
