Leaked reports claim that the Pixel 10 series may debut at the highly anticipated "Made by Google" event scheduled for around August 13, 2025. This rumored launch date is in perfect harmony with the Pixel 9 launch last year and hence bears testimony to Google's trend of annual updates.
If the leak proves accurate, any eventuality for the Pixel 10 devices would launch on the same day, August 13. This would mark this date as an important date on Google's calendar for hardware.
It is speculated that the Pixel 10 family will witness four models, namely, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Each of these devices is said to embody some refinements in design while also gifting an enhanced camera system and software improvements through Android 16.
Of special interest is the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold, representing Google's onward march into the foldable phone market.
A major change in the Pixel 10 series is the introduction of Google's first fully custom Tensor G5 chipset. It is said to be made using the most advanced 3nm process technology of TSMC. Having TSMC manufacture the SoC, as opposed to Samsung, should result in enhancements of performance, power efficiency, and thermal management.
There have also been leaks about it being 30% faster at AI processing through Tensor G5 and with 25% less power consumption as compared to the last generation.
Despite switching over to the MediaTek modem from Samsung's Exynos modem, the satellite connectivity feature of the Pixel 10 series may be retained for better communication in remote areas. The displays, meanwhile, will have a higher PWM dimming rate, so flicker will be less and user comfort will be enhanced. Android 16 is expected to come pre-installed on all Pixel 10 models.
The Pixel 10 series will be highly competitive against upcoming flagship offerings from Apple, Samsung, and other Android OEMs. Custom silicon features and refined camera capabilities must be the key selling points for Google, particularly in the premium smartphone segment. Pricing remains to be seen, perhaps strategically competitive to win even more attention.
Should the rumored launch date prove to be true, the Pixel 10 series will go on with the steady release cycle that Google has maintained thus far and throw in some serious hardware upgrades, including a custom-built chipset.
This leaked information really stirs excitement for what Google might be releasing later this summer, and users wait with bated breath for more news and results.
