The Google Pixel 10 phones should arrive around August 2025, and they sound like they'll make the smartphone experience even better with cool tech and new stuff to play with. They're building on what made the older Pixels great, planning to bring top-notch AI, nice designs, and speedy performance.
There are leaks and heard whispers that give a glimpse of what to expect from the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the folding Pixel 10 Pro. Let’s check out when they might come out, what colors they’ll have, what's inside, and the features that could make them stand out.
Look for the Pixel 10 series to show up in August 2025. Google seems to want to get these out earlier, just like they did with the Pixel 9. They used to drop new Pixels in October, but it looks like they want to get a jump on companies like Apple and Samsung while everyone's thinking about back-to-school shopping. They're calling the phones Frankel, Blazer, Mustang, and Rango behind the scenes, and it sounds like there are four versions.
People will probably be able to order them right after they're announced. Some say we might see them around August 25, 2025, maybe with a preview at Google I/O in May. That would line up nicely with Android 16, which should be out in June, so everything works together smoothly.

The Pixel 10 series might come in some new colors. The regular Pixel 10 could be in black (Obsidian), purple (Iris), yellow (Limoncello), and blue. The Pro and Pro XL versions might get Obsidian, Green, Sterling (grey), and Porcelain (white).
Pixel 10 Pro Fold could come in Obsidian and Porcelain for a slick look. These colors come from leaks and show that Google wants things to look good but not too flashy, with smooth designs and tough Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to help them last.
The Pixel 10 phones will run on the Tensor G5 chip, which Google made themselves. It's their first chip made by TSMC using a 3nm process. This chip, known as Laguna, should be a lot faster and use less power than the Tensor G4. It’s got one Cortex-X4 core for the main stuff, five Cortex-A725 cores for the middle stuff, and two Cortex-A520 cores to save power.
Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro should have 6.3-inch AMOLED Actua screens with a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 3,000 nits. The Pro XL might get a bigger 6.8-inch Super Actua screen. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold might stick with an 8-inch Super Actua Flex screen inside and a 6.3-inch screen on the outside, both with HDR10+ and 120Hz refresh rates. They’re also fixing the screen flicker problem to make things easier on your eyes.
Pixel 10 series is trying to make the cameras better, the standard model. Instead of the usual two lenses, the basic Pixel 10 might have three on the back: a 50MP main sensor (Samsung GN8), a 48MP ultrawide, and a new 11MP lens for zooming in. The main sensor might be a little smaller than the one on the Pixel 9, but you get that extra zoom lens.
Pro and Pro XL versions will likely keep the Pixel 9 Pro’s setup: a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP periscope telephoto camera. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold might just get a small upgrade to its main camera. They’re also adding new AI tricks like voice-controlled photo editing and better video stabilization.
AI is still a big deal for the Pixel 10 series. The Tensor G5 chip lets the phones handle AI tasks without using the cloud, and they’re bringing a new assistant called Pixel Sense (used to be Pixie). It'll learn from your Google apps like Gmail and Calendar to give you personalized help, even when you’re offline.
Other AI features include Sketch-to-Image for making art and something called Magic Mirror, but we don't know much about that yet. Android 16, which should come out with the phones, has a new look called Material 3 Expressive. It’s supposed to be easier to use, with things grouped together to make it smoother. All this AI stuff should make the Pixel 10 a leader in smart smartphones.

Pixel 10 series will probably have a similar design to the older models, with flat sides, even edges around the screen, and that camera bar on the back. The regular Pixel 10 might be around 152.8 x 72 x 8.6mm, and 12mm thick if you include the camera bump.
They’re using recycled aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to make them strong, and they’re rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will probably have a shiny look with smooth metal edges and a square shape when you unfold it.
The Pixel 10 might start at $799, same as the Pixel 9, and the Pixel 10 Pro could be $999. The Pixel 10 Pro XL might go up to $1,199, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could drop to $1,600 to compete with other folding phones. People should be able to find them at stores and online, and Google might sell them in more countries, like India, Japan, and Europe.
Overall, the Pixel 10 series shows that Google wants to keep pushing what smartphones can do. With a fast Tensor G5 chip, better cameras, and fresh colors, these phones want to be a top pick in 2025.
