A ChatGPT user reportedly bypassed the CAPTCHA verification test, sharing the details of this incident on Reddit. CAPTCHA is basically a safety measure from Cloudflare that is used to distinguish between humans and online AI bots and is necessary to safeguard websites against botnet attacks.
ChatGPT’s paid version, ChatGPT Plus, offers powerful language support and access to its Agentic AI. The recent feature update enables it to automate simple human tasks and browse the web smartly.
The Reddit user, who was also a subscriber of this service, used the Agentic AI to bypass this screening test. He uploaded screenshots of his interactions with the bot where it explicitly says, “I will click that you are a human,” further explaining that this step is required to complete the process.
While ChatGPT did not perform these actions autonomously and asked for the user's permission, this incident has raised serious concerns over the security offered by CAPTCHA.

Many users have expressed discontent with CAPTCHA’s inability to detect ChatGPT, while others have taken the issue very lightly. They said the bot was able to do what it is designed for - human interaction and task automation. Therefore, this was quite a normal thing for an advanced and powerful large language model to achieve.
Another interesting opinion circulating in the online forums is that OpenAI’s ChatGPT is a smart AI model that can understand malicious intentions and refuse to obey instructions if found unethical.
