Apple new products expected to launch soon include Beats 360 headphones and camera-equipped AirPods, alongside reported Vision workforce changes. Apple has not publicly announced the headphones, layoffs or sensor-equipped earbuds.
Meanwhile, Apple continues visionOS development, updates Vision Pro hardware and expands Visual Intelligence across its products.
Retail listings briefly displayed the unreleased Apple Beats 360 before stores removed the pages. The listings included product images, specifications, colour choices and prices without an Apple announcement.
The images showed over-ear headphones with a different design from Beats Studio Pro and Solo 4. A separate padded section appeared beneath the headband, while open mesh covered the earcups.
The padding and ear cushions reportedly detach. Listings also named Performance Knit and UltraPlush as replacement options.
The listed colours included Sky, Black, Navy, Cloud, Pink and Volt. One US listing showed a $299 price, while a UK page displayed a price of £331.99.
Listings claimed active noise cancellation, all-day battery life and IPX4 resistance. The headphones reportedly support Apple and Android, fold flat and include a woven case.
The descriptions claimed up to 1.75 times stronger noise cancellation than Beats Studio Pro. Apple has not confirmed that comparison, the final specifications, pricing or release schedule.
Apple reportedly cut at least 60 Vision roles, including ‘an entire team dedicated to VR development.’ Apple has not confirmed the layoffs.
The reported cuts follow an earlier restructuring of the Vision Products Group. Apple moved employees into larger hardware and software engineering divisions after breaking up the original combined unit.
Mike Rockwell, who previously led the Vision group, later took responsibility for work on Siri. Apple continues developing visionOS and has publicly described spatial computing as a long-term investment area.
Apple released visionOS updates with more consumer and business features. Company executives have called spatial computing ‘early innings’ while discussing continued platform development and new professional use cases.
Apple also upgraded Vision Pro with the M5 chip in October 2025. The headset gained 10% more rendered pixels and refresh rates reaching 120Hz, while Apple retained the original design.
The company later raised the Vision Pro price from $3,499 to $3,699. This confirmed change followed higher costs affecting several Apple products, including Mac, iPad, HomePod and Apple TV.
Apple reportedly continues developing AirPods Pro 4 with visual sensors for a 2027 launch. The earbuds would not allow users to take photographs or record videos, according to product details.
Meanwhile, a leaked demonstration video reportedly showed an older AirPods Pro 3 concept. Apple later shelved that version while continuing work on a revised model with newer hardware and software.
The sensors could supply environmental information for Visual Intelligence, gesture controls and accessibility features. They may scan nearby objects for AI analysis without creating standard photographs or video recordings.
Apple has not announced the camera-equipped AirPods, their price or a launch date. Current information still places them alongside AI smart glasses within the company’s broader wearables development program.
The planned smart glasses may combine cameras, Siri and Visual Intelligence without an augmented-reality display. Apple reportedly targets a WWDC 2027 presentation after extending development to address product and privacy concerns.
