Marvel fans made it clear that their love for Avengers: Endgame has not faded. The trailer for the upcoming theatrical re-release, titled Avengers: Endgame Encore, attracted 77 million views in its first 24 hours. The figure sets a new record for a movie re-release campaign. It is more than four times the previous record, underscoring the continued interest in one of Marvel’s biggest films.
Before Avengers: Endgame Encore, the record belonged to Top Gun, whose trailer for its 2026 re-release generated 19 million views in its first 24 hours. Other major films also attracted attention when they returned to cinemas. The original Avatar re-release trailer recorded 14 million views, while Titanic's re-release trailer generated 13 million views. With 77 million views, Endgame Encore has moved comfortably ahead of all three.
Marvel is bringing Endgame back to theatres worldwide on September 25, 2026. The new trailer runs for around one minute and 36 seconds and revisits several memorable moments from the original movie. It also includes footage capturing fans reactions in cinemas during the film's first release.
The Encore version features some changes to the presentation, including updated color grading and dialogue adjustments. The theatrical release will include an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday, the next major chapter in the franchise.
The Russo Brothers also indicated that the additional material is intended to create a stronger connection between Endgame and Doomsday. Reports further added that the re-release will include around 4 minutes of additional footage from the upcoming film.

The upcoming film is expected to bring together a huge group of Marvel characters, including members of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Robert Downey Jr. is also returning to the franchise, this time as the villain Victor von Doom.
That connection appears to be a major reason behind the renewed interest in Endgame. For longtime fans, the September theatrical return offers a chance to experience one of Marvel's defining films on the big screen again, while also getting new material that could provide clues about what comes next.
