Zoho, the global technology company headquartered in Chennai, today unveiled Zoho Payments POS devices, QR devices and sound boxes, along with a range of payment solutions including payout capabilities, virtual accounts for collections, and marketplace settlements. In 2024, Zoho introduced Zoho Payments, a unified payment gateway to help businesses securely accept payments from their customers. Today's launch enhances the company's footprint in the fintech landscape, with innovative, end-to-end payment solutions that simplify both collections and disbursements.
This announcement was made on the sidelines of Global Fintech Fest 2025, one of the largest annual fintech conferences, organised by Payments Council of India (PCI), National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), and Fintech Convergence Council (FCC).
"For most businesses, every payment—such as collecting customer dues or paying vendors, or disbursing salaries—runs through a patchwork of banking portals, gateways and finance applications that need to be connected," said Sivaramakrishnan Iswaran, CEO of Zoho Payment Technologies, and Global Head of Finance and Operations BU, Zoho. "Zoho’s vision is to eliminate these traditional silos that exist between banking, business finance and payments by bringing them into a single, tightly integrated ecosystem. With the company’s continued investment in bringing innovative solutions in the fintech domain, Zoho gives businesses greater control over their incoming and outgoing payments, creating real-time visibility into their finances, and a reliable way to manage their cash flow. Our comprehensive offerings, which combine end-to-end payment solutions with our broader finance and operations platform, uniquely position us to help businesses easily manage money movement, ensure better compliance, and scale with confidence."
The solutions introduced today include:
Zoho Payments POS and QR devices allow businesses to accept in-person card payments via tap, dip and swipe, as well as UPI payments made by scanning static and dynamic QR codes. The POS devices are equipped with built-in printing, and barcode scanning. The QR devices also come with a sound box for instant payment confirmation. The embedded billing module in the POS device allows businesses to generate invoices and collect payments in one smooth flow. For example, a café can instantly select items, generate a bill, collect payments, and print receipts, all from the same device.
Zoho Payments now supports payouts, enabling businesses using Zoho Payroll to make salary disbursements and automate employee payroll processing. Businesses can make salary payments easily from any of their bank accounts, track the payments made, and have a more reliable way to transfer funds.
Zoho Payments supports split settlements for marketplaces, which allows platforms to collect payments from customers and automatically settle the appropriate share with the seller. This simplifies reconciliation efforts and provides faster payouts for marketplace partners.
The programme offers a generous partner incentive on the total transaction value processed using Zoho Payments by the merchants they refer. This allows the partners to benefit from a growing revenue stream that scales with their expanding merchant network.
Businesses can create and assign unique virtual accounts for each customer, invoice, or branch to accept NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS payments, which enables them to easily identify which customers have paid. This provides businesses with automatic reconciliation, reduces the risk of errors, and provides real-time insights into incoming payments.
Zoho Payments now offers on-demand, T+1 settlements, allowing SMBs to have faster access to their funds, providing better cash flow when compared to standard settlement cycles.
Businesses using Zoho Books and Zoho Billing can create automated recurring payments via UPI Autopay e-mandates through Zoho Payments. For example, a fitness studio can set up monthly membership fees in Zoho Billing and have mandates automatically created and sent to their members for their approval and payments.
