Bengaluru-based electric mobility startup E3 Electric.Ai has raised Rs. 100 crore in a Series A funding round led by BluVenture Holdings. The company will use the fresh funding to improve its products, build new AI technology, and launch its first electric scooter, the E3 TRION. Around Rs. 75 crore came through equity, while the remaining Rs. 25 crore came through debt financing.
The company plans to launch the E3 TRION in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities in South India. Later this financial year, E3 Electric.Ai aims to enter nearly 90 cities, including Delhi. Bookings have not started yet, although the company has opened a waitlist on its website to understand customer interest before the official launch.
Artificial intelligence plays a major role in the E3 TRION. The scooter will offer 10 smart features that improve safety and everyday riding. Before every ride, the scooter will complete a 10-second health check to find possible issues. It can also suggest the best route based on the remaining battery range, helping riders avoid running out of charge during trips.
The scooter also includes predictive maintenance, battery health monitoring, roadside assistance, and an SOS feature. If the system detects a rider fall, it can send alerts to family members and emergency contacts through the E3 mobile app. The company believes these features can make electric scooters safer and easier to use every day.
E3 Electric.Ai has also developed a modular platform that allows different scooter models to use the same chassis. This design makes future upgrades easier as battery, motor, and controller technologies improve. The startup has already filed more than 18 patents covering battery systems, modular vehicle design, and AI-based safety technologies.
Founded in 2024 by former TVS Motor EV executive P. Sanjeev, E3 Electric.Ai wants to build smart electric scooters for families and daily commuters. Instead of spending heavily on factories, the startup follows an asset-light model. The company plans to invest more in software, artificial intelligence, and new technology while working with manufacturing partners for production.
The company enters India's fast-growing electric two-wheeler market, where it will compete with brands such as Ola Electric, Ather Energy, TVS Motor, and Bajaj Auto. Electric scooters recorded around 1.81 lakh registrations in June, showing strong demand across the country.
E3 Electric.Ai now hopes its AI-focused technology and smart features will help the brand stand out in this competitive market.
