Samsung Galaxy A series has emerged as the most trusted mid-range smartphone lineup in a new survey by 91mobiles, involving over 5,000 respondents. The findings reflect growing consumer focus on reliability, durability, and security in the mid-range smartphone segment.

With the newly launched Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 promising six OS upgrades and six years of security patches, Samsung appears well-positioned to sustain the lead over other budget smartphones, according to the survey.

Samsung Galaxy A Series Ranked Highest in Consumer Trust

Samsung Galaxy A series is the most trusted smartphone lineup in the Rs. 10,000-Rs. 50,000 price band, a new 91mobiles survey has revealed. This is a segment where consumers are increasingly cautious, and brand loyalty is harder to earn.

The Mid-Range Smartphone Trust and Security Study 2026 was conducted with over 5,000 respondents to understand what drives purchase decisions and brand confidence in the mid-range space. The Galaxy A series came out on top across every trust-related metric measured.

Samsung leads the ownership share with 19.5 percent of the total respondents being Samsung smartphone owners, the highest ownership share among all brands. This is followed by Xiaomi, which holds a 16 percent share, while Realme takes up the third place with a 15 percent share.

How Security Updates and Reliability Influence Smartphone Buyers

Unlike flagship smartphones, where brand loyalty, premium-level features, and extensive security systems are the biggest pulls, purchasing a mid-range smartphone can be challenging, as the quality of such factors is uncertain.

Upon asking the participants which smartphone series they trust most, the Samsung Galaxy A series received 23.2 percent of the vote. This could be linked to factors such as service accessibility and software support. Hence, in the case of user damage, customers can walk into a nearby service centre to get their issues resolved and devices repaired.

When asking the participants about the factors that make them trust a brand, 23.3 percent and 16.1 percent of respondents cited long-term reliability and regular software updates as their top two reasons.

What the Survey Reveals About India’s Mid-Range Smartphone Market

Considering ownership patterns, recommendation intent, security perception, and long-term software support, the Galaxy A series consistently outpaced the competition, backed by a combination of reliable OTA updates, Knox Security, and an expanding service network.

Around 27 percent of the survey participants claimed they are comfortable suggesting the Galaxy A series to family or friends. In the same context, the OnePlus Nord series is the second-most recommendable lineup with a 14.3 percent share, followed by the vivo V series at 10.5 percent.
