Mumbai-based lend-tech startup Rezolv raised $12.5 million in Series A funding on August 18. Norwest led the round, with Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India and 3one4 Capital participating.

Founded by former Kissht cofounders Karan Mehta and Sonali Jindal, Rezolv will use the capital to expand AI across lending operations. The company will target sales, risk assessment, underwriting, debt collection and credit services.

Rezolv develops AI tools for banks and NBFCs, helping lenders automate large parts of credit workflows. The Mumbai startup plans to move beyond collections and build automation across the lending cycle. The company reached an annualized revenue run rate of about Rs. 30 crore by March 2026, according to Dealroom.

Founded in 2024, Rezolv has partnered with 22 banks and NBFCs. Its customers include ICICI Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Poonawalla Fincorp, Bajaj Auto Credit, Muthoot Capital and Northern Arc. The platform handles more than 12 million loan accounts and supports 6.5 million minutes of borrower conversations monthly.

Rezolv also reports a 35% improvement in bounce and resolution rates through its strategy builder tool. The company raised $3.5 million in seed funding last year at a $12.8 million post-money valuation. The Series A now values Rezolv at roughly four times that level, according to Dealroom

Sonali Jindal said the next AI challenge involves proving measurable business value rather than simply adopting technology. “The real challenge is metricisation,” Jindal said, highlighting measurable outcomes as the next phase of AI adoption.

Norwest sees debt collection as a strong AI use case, given its scale and labor-intensive processes. The investment also reflects growing demand for AI-driven credit infrastructure across India’s fintech market.

Rezolv plans to invest most of the capital in AI infrastructure, product development and operational expansion. The strategy could position the company for broader adoption across India’s lending ecosystem.
