Late New Zealand actor Sam Neill, best known for playing Dr. Alan Grant in the Jurassic Park franchise, left behind an estimated net worth of around $20 million (approximately Rs. 172 crore) after a career spanning more than five decades. The actor died at the age of 78 in Sydney on July 13, with his family confirming that he had been cancer-free following his battle with stage-three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

Neill appeared in over 150 movies and television productions, such as Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, Jurassic World Dominion, The Piano, The Hunt for Red October, Peaky Blinders and The Tudors. His career in acting has been the mainstay of his wealth and was enough to have him regarded as one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed actors.

Far away from Hollywood, he built up a range of investments in Two Paddocks, which is a vineyard in Central Otago, New Zealand. Established in the 1990s, the vineyard is well known for producing fine quality Pinot Noir and Riesling wines. Additionally, he bought land to ensure diversification in his income sources.

Sam Neill was born in Omagh, Northern Ireland, in 1947. He migrated to New Zealand when he was only seven years old and left behind a family of four children and eight grandchildren. With iconic roles in Jurassic Park series, Neil became one of the most successful actors on the silver screen.
