4baseCare has raised an additional Rs. 38 crore, closing its Series B round at Rs. 128 crore. The company will use the funds to expand its genomics lab network globally and strengthen its AI-powered precision oncology platform. 4baseCare currently operates laboratories in India, Dubai, Nepal, and the Philippines, and plans to enter 8–10 additional countries over the next 12–18 months.

The startup is also expanding its in-hospital genomics lab model through partnerships with healthcare institutions such as AIIMS Jammu, Max Healthcare, and Shankara Hospital.

Fresh Funding for 4baseCare

Bengaluru-based precision oncology startup 4baseCare has raised a total of Rs. 128 crore ($13.3 million) in funding, including a fresh top-up round of Rs. 38 crore led by growX Ventures and Infosys, with participation from existing investors.

The latest infusion comes months after the company raised Rs. 90 crore in the first close of its Series B round from investors including Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, and Yali Capital.

On the close of Series B round, 4baseCare co-founder & CEO Hitesh Goswami said, “The additional capital will help us expand our genomics lab network globally and further scale OncoTwin, our AI-based precision oncology platform, to support clinicians with deeper, real-world, clinically actionable insights.”

OncoTwin and AI Healthcare Take Center Stage

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its genomics laboratory network globally and strengthen its AI-led oncology platform. It aims to improve access to precision oncology for underrepresented populations across India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and other emerging markets.

Ashish Taneja, Founder & CEO, growX ventures, said, “One of the biggest gaps in precision oncology today is the underrepresentation of non-Caucasian populations in genomic datasets, which limits the relevance of clinical decision-making. 4baseCare is addressing this through genomics infrastructure, clinically contextualized data, and AI-driven intelligence.”

The company conducts around 1,500 genomic tests per month and expects volume to increase to 8,000-10,000 per month as it scales its footprint.

Global Genomics Expansion

Investor interest in cancer-focused startups has picked up in recent years. Last year, Everhope Oncology raised $10 million in seed funding, and MOC Cancer Care & Research Center secured $18 million in seed funding, led by Elevation Capital. ErlySign, OnCare, and OneCell Diagnostics are also among the funded startups.

Founded in 2019 by Hitesh Goswami and Kshitij Rishi, 4baseCare develops genomics-based cancer diagnostics and AI-powered clinical decision support solutions. Its flagship platform, OncoTwin, helps oncologists derive treatment insights using clinico-genomic and real-world patient data.

In 2024, IT major Infosys invested Rs 8.3 Crores (approximately US$ 1.0 million) in 4baseCare as part of the Infosys Innovation Fund.
