Google has expanded its Personal Intelligence feature to more of its artificial intelligence offerings, including AI Mode in Search, the Gemini app, and the Chrome browser. The move signals the company’s push to make AI tools more personalized and context-aware. However, the feature is currently available only to users in the United States.
Personal Intelligence provides customized responses tailored to each individual user's needs. The feature establishes connections between Google applications, which include Gmail and Google Photos, when users choose to activate it. The system uses this data to learn what users prefer, what they have bought, and how they use their digital devices.
The feature exists to help users complete their daily activities with greater efficiency. The AI system uses shopping history and preferred brands to recommend bag options that match the users’ recently purchased shoes. The system provides help for technology support problems. The AI system will recognize a device when users provide purchase receipts and then present them with suitable solutions.

Google says the feature has been built with transparency and user choice in mind. Users can decide which services to connect to, such as Gmail or Photos. These connections can be turned off at any time.
The company also noted that its AI models are not directly trained on personal data from inboxes or photo libraries. Instead, limited information, including prompts entered in Gemini or AI Mode and the AI’s responses, may be used to improve performance over time.
The current rollout of the system remains limited to the United States. Google has not disclosed when the product will be accessible to users outside the United States. Users from different areas must wait until the personalized AI feature becomes available to them.
