Samsung smartphone saves a life! A Ukrainian soldier reportedly survived a battlefield incident after his Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra absorbed a flying piece of shrapnel. The device shattered, but its titanium body stopped the metal from piercing the soldier’s chest.
The incident took place during active fighting between Russia and Ukraine. Reportedly, the shrapnel did not reach the back panel, where the battery sits, likely preventing a fire or explosion. Photos shared online show a cracked screen and a visible impact point:
The story first surfaced on the Samsung Ukraine Community Forum. The soldier reportedly used the device for just three weeks before the incident. A Reddit user claimed that a Samsung representative contacted the soldier. They allegedly offered free repairs as a gesture of goodwill. Samsung has yet to confirm this officially.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at ₹1,29,999 for the 256GB version. The 512GB and 1TB models cost ₹1,41,999 and ₹1,65,999. It comes in four colors, Titanium Blue, Titanium Grey, Titanium White, and Titanium Black.
This isn’t a one-off. In 2023, another Ukrainian soldier survived a bullet thanks to his Samsung device. While it wasn’t designed for warzones, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra proved that engineering strength can make all the difference. These moments highlight how modern technology, designed for durability, can provide unexpected protection.
