Enterprise content management company Box is expanding its partnership with NVIDIA as businesses look for more practical ways to use AI at work. The companies have introduced new tools designed to help AI systems find information in company files and automate routine business processes.

The expanded collaboration includes Box Context Retrieval, a search engine powered by NVIDIA's Nemotron models. It is designed to help AI agents retrieve relevant information from large collections of business documents and deliver more accurate responses.

Box claimed that the technology could improve search accuracy by 20%, reduce token usage by 90% and make question-answering up to four times faster. The product is expected to become generally available to Enterprise Advanced customers early next year.

Box Architect Brings AI Workflow Automation

Alongside the search engine, Box introduced Box Architect, a tool that allows employees to create automated workflows using everyday language. Instead of manually configuring multiple steps, teams can describe a business process and use the platform to build an AI-powered workflow. The tool is expected to enter beta testing for Enterprise Advanced customers in the fourth quarter.

The launch reflects a wider push by enterprise software companies to move beyond AI assistants that simply answer questions. Businesses are increasingly exploring AI agents that can retrieve information, coordinate tasks and complete parts of existing workflows.

Box also plans to bring NVIDIA's open-weight Nemotron models into Box AI, giving customers additional options for running AI applications. The collaboration includes work on securing AI agent execution through NVIDIA OpenShell.

New Security Features Also Announced

As companies give AI systems access to sensitive business information, security remains a major concern. Box is introducing additional threat protection designed to identify bulk downloads, account takeovers and large-scale file deletions.

These security features are expected to reach Enterprise Advanced and Shield customers early next year. The expanded partnership gives Box a stronger AI offering built around enterprise data, automation and security. For NVIDIA, it creates another opportunity to bring its AI models and infrastructure technologies into business software used by large organizations.
