Krafton is all set to release the Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI 4.1 update this week. This upgrade introduces new gameplay features, a winter-themed map, and a new Royale Pass season, among others. The new update will include not only visual updates but also performance improvements to keep players engaged during the holiday season.
According to Krafton, the BGMI 4.1 update will start rolling out in India from November 13, 2025. As usual, the update will roll out in phases for Android users; 30% of players will get the update by 6.30 AM, 50% by 9.30 AM, while the full rollout is expected by 11.30 AM IST. iOS users will be able to access it around 9.30 AM, while the APK version on the official BGMI website will go live by 12.30 PM IST.
The reason behind the staged rollout is to handle server load and stability, since millions of players would download the new patch all at once.
The headline addition is the theme of ‘Frosty Funland’, which turns Erangel into a snowy battleground with icy terrain and interactive ‘Penguin Town’ hot-drop zones. Players will be able to explore frozen landscapes, drive snowmobiles equipped with snowball cannons, and use new ‘Ice Gadgets’ to freeze parts of the terrain for tactical advantage.
Krafton has also added new gear, such as quirky ‘Fish Rocket Launcher’ and a ‘Blue Fin Tuna Syringe,’ which gives a temporary health and movement speed boost. The update also polishes gameplay mechanics with the ability to loot even when knocked down and improves smoothness with 90 FPS support on selected devices.
The update brings with it the A16 Royale Pass, which contains 100 tiers of rewards, ranging from skin for weapons to character outfits. There’s the Icebound Raider set, a Glacier-themed MG3, and the Crystalborn, Emperor mythic outfit at the top tier. The new pass will be available through in-game purchases once the update is live.

The 4.1 update marks Krafton’s step to make BGMI more vivid and exciting. The game is sure to attract the Indian users, who have been a significant part of its audience, with new visuals, performance optimizations, and special bonuses, even though the competition in the mobile gaming sector is very fierce.
The Frosty Funland mode will offer a combination of nostalgia and new experiences to regular gamers, while the old battleground of Erangel will become a place for a new category of fun.
