AMD expanded its gaming hardware lineup at Computex 2026 with the launch of new Ryzen processors and a Radeon graphics card, targeting gamers seeking affordable upgrades for both current and older PC platforms.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition is an upgraded iteration of the very successful game-oriented CPU for the AM4 socket. It will be available for purchase starting June 25, and it is intended for buyers seeking better gaming performance without changing the motherboard or RAM.

Another launch is Ryzen 7 7700X3D, a gaming-oriented processor in the lower price range with AM5 sockets.

How is AMD Approaching Gaming Market?

These releases kind of show AMD’s commitment to extending the lifespan of current systems and also giving options for new gamer builds that use newer platforms in a way that feels more flexible.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition kind of gives AM4 owners a way to keep their rigs up to date, even as they continue using them day after day. This release also helps gamers punch up performance without having to throw more money at a full rework, like building from scratch into a totally new system.

And to match that CPU lineup, AMD also released graphics cards under its Radeon series. Radeon RX 9070 GRE was already available in China, but it will now roll out to other markets as well, so more people can get it.

Why does Platform Longevity Matter?

During its Computex appearance, AMD reiterated that it will stick with the AM5 socket through 2029. That kind of reassurance means customers probably don’t need to grab a whole new motherboard to upgrade to a Ryzen CPU, so, in the end, it also helps bring the cost of upgrading the PC down quite a bit.

Right now in the PC market, long‑term platform compatibility is a huge deal when people shop, since upgrade costs often tip the scales beyond the actual advantages.

With new products spanning both AM4 and AM5 ecosystems, AMD is positioning itself to serve gamers across a wide range of budgets. The launches come as chipmakers use Computex to showcase new gaming and AI hardware amid growing competition in the PC industry.
