The Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning (Search) at Databricks India is a key role in the Applied AI team. Create and put into operation relevance models that are based on ML and are integrated with Databricks products for search and discovery.
Devise and execute automated pipelines using ML and NLP for query understanding, ranking, retrieval, and evaluation.
Work together with product managers and different departments to come up with new ideas for search and discovery kinds of things.
Take part in creating methods for measuring improvements in search ranking that are both offline and online.
BS in Computer Science or related field; MS or PhD preferred.
6+ years of experience developing search relevance systems at scale or in high-impact research environments.
Experience applying LLMs to search relevance.
Strong expertise in query understanding, NLP, text mining, recommendations, personalization, discovery, or conversational AI.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Contributions to widely used open-source projects a plus.
