Two words starting with L, three with the letter O, and a satisfying mouse click – today's Quordle hides patterns in plain sight!
Quordle takes word puzzles to another level. Offering a quadruple challenge of finding four five-letter words in nine attempts. All made easier by a color feedback system: green confirms correct letters in correct positions, yellow shows right letters in wrong positions, while gray indicates absent letters.
David Mah's curiosity about expanding word puzzles led to Quordle's creation, with Freddie Meyer developing the playable prototype. Merriam-Webster later acquired the game, adding linguistic authority to this challenging daily puzzle.

These simple tips can help you predict words using a diverse range of strategies.
Predicting words with vowels is the best hint in Quordle. They frequently appear in English words in a common pattern, such as CVC, consonant-vowel-consonant. For example, try "SHARD" and "PAINT" from the previous day's Quordle game. Select "Past Games" from the "Daily Classic" drop-down menu, then select the 25 April 2025 game.
Repeating letters is best suited for an elimination strategy. Half of the word can be guessed with little difficulty when a letter appears twice. Practice the hints from the 23 April 2025 game:
Letter “E” helps with guessing VALET and CREEP
Letter “A” helps with guessing VALET and PUPAL
Letter “P” helps with guessing PUPAL and CREEP
Letter “T” helps with guessing VALET and DRIFT
The first, second and fourth words have "L"
The first, second and third words have "O"
The second and fourth words have "C"
The first and fourth words have "I"
Phonetic hints serve as a secret weapon in Quordle, triggering that "aha!" moment when players are stuck. By focusing on similar sounds rather than meanings, they guide toward solutions by enhancing the game experience.
WORD 1: BINGO (but with L instead of B)
WORD 2: FOCUS (but with L instead of F)
WORD 3: GROW (but add TH at the start)
WORD 4: SLICK (but remove the S)
Solutions are up front. But before that, try to guess a word taken from the hint of the game played on 24 April 2025 - Rocks playing Jenga naturally!
