Samsung is all set to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra next month, with major upgrades that promise to elevate the smartphone experience to new heights. From the launch date to its expected pricing and key features, here’s everything one needs to know about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra launch date is expected to be somewhere around late January 2025. After its launch, the pre-orders are set to take place the same day. The official release is scheduled to start in early February 2025.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone offering is expected to cost around ₹1,29,999 in India, making it a premium offering in the smartphone market. In Europe, the price is expected to be approximately €1,399, maintaining its position as a high-end flagship device.
Samsung is expected to refine the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, opting for rounded corners instead of the more angular design of its predecessor. The device will also have a flat AMOLED display, which is durable and sleek.
Although the exact size hasn't been confirmed, there are rumors that the screen will be a 6.86-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. This will provide smooth visuals and great performance for gaming and other daily tasks.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra's camera system has been one of the most talked-about upgrades. It is expected to host a 200MP primary camera with high resolution for detailed shots. The ultra-wide camera will feature a significant upgrade from a 12MP to a 50MP sensor, resulting in better coverage and clearer images.
Galaxy S25 Ultra features may include a new 50MP telephoto lens with variable zoom capabilities, offering flexibility when zooming and an enhanced telephoto experience. Users can expect a 100MP Space Zoom, which will result in high-quality images even when taken at a distance. The enhanced camera system is also anticipated to deliver excellent low-light performance for nighttime photography.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, giving better processing power and efficiency than previous generations. It will come with up to 16GB of RAM, so it can easily handle multitasking, gaming, and intensive apps.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available in multiple storage variants, such as 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. However, according to sources, no card slot will exist for expandable storage.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a 5000mAh battery, identical to the previous one. A 45W wired charger can charge the phone to 65% within 30 minutes. Wireless charging will be available at 25W (Qi2/PMA). The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will also support reverse wireless charging at 4.5W for other devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be loaded with Android 17 and Samsung's One UI 7 skin, which promises an even smoother interface. New Galaxy AI capabilities will also be available, improving performance and usability.
The phone is expected to feature an integrated S Pen, a staple of the Ultra line. IP68 water and dust resistance rating assures it is tough. This Samsung smartphone will also come with a fingerprint sensor underneath the screen for secure biometric access.
In the following post on X (formerly Twitter), Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), talked about the possible colorways of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra:
The color options will likely appeal to a wide range of tastes, and the exclusive colors, available only online, add to the device's allure.
