Richard believes the data science industry is extremely fast-paced and is growing rapidly, which means the core technologies and tools involved are ever-changing. For example, many of the cutting-edge NLP models were only created in the past 2-3 years. Even many programs that created their curricula in 2017 or 2018 are also going to be out of date. To address these challenges, there is a modular curriculum that can be updated as new technologies or other industry trends emerge.
