  • Flying Flea C6 marks Royal Enfield’s entry into electric motorcycles with a dedicated platform and distinctive retro-inspired design.

  • The electric motorcycle offers a claimed 154km range, 115kmph top speed, and 3.91kWh battery for urban riding.

Royal Enfield has entered the electric motorcycle market with the Flying Flea C6, its first production electric motorcycle. Rather than electrifying an existing model, the company has created a separate electric brand and given the bike a design that breaks from its traditional motorcycles.

The C6 combines a lightweight construction with a 3.91kWh battery, a 115kmph top speed and a range of up to 154km. It also gets modern rider-assistance and connected features while retaining a distinctly retro appearance.

Price and Positioning

The Flying Flea C6 is priced at Rs. 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru). It sits in the premium electric motorcycle segment and is primarily designed for urban riding.

The bike is available in Flea Green and Storm Black colour options. Its pricing puts it above mainstream electric two-wheelers, but Royal Enfield is positioning the C6 as a premium motorcycle rather than a conventional commuter EV.

3.91kWh Battery and 154km Range

The C6 uses a 3.91kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Royal Enfield claims an IDC range of up to 154km on a full charge.

Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes about 65 minutes, while a complete 0-100% charge takes roughly 2 hours and 16 minutes under the specified conditions.

The claimed range should be viewed as a benchmark rather than an indication of everyday riding distance. Traffic, speed, riding mode and weather can all affect actual range.

115kmph Top Speed and 60Nm Torque

The electric motorcycle uses a permanent-magnet synchronous motor producing 15.4kW of peak power and 60Nm of torque.

Royal Enfield claims a 0-60kmph acceleration time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 115kmph. These figures give the C6 enough performance for city traffic and occasional higher-speed riding.

At 124kg, the motorcycle is relatively light. That should help with low-speed manoeuvring, particularly in congested city streets.

A Distinctive Retro Design

The C6 does not look like a conventional electric motorcycle. Its slim body, round headlamp and minimalist proportions give it a neo-retro appearance.

The most noticeable element is the girder-style front suspension, which gives the motorcycle a distinctive profile. Royal Enfield has also used aluminium and magnesium components to keep weight under control. The C6 rides on 19-inch wheels and uses disc brakes with ABS.

Modern Features Under the Classic Styling

The motorcycle gets a 3.5-inch circular TFT touchscreen with navigation and smartphone connectivity. Other features include cruise control, hill-hold assist, keyless operation, an electronic handlebar lock and USB-C charging.

Safety features include lean-angle-sensitive ABS and traction control. Multiple riding modes allow riders to adjust the bike's behaviour according to different riding conditions.

These features make the C6 significantly more technology-focused than Royal Enfield's traditional motorcycles.

A New Chapter in Royal Enfield’s History

The Flying Flea name comes from a lightweight Royal Enfield motorcycle used during the Second World War. Designed for military use, the original motorcycle could be transported by parachute. The modern Flying Flea C6 carries that lightweight philosophy into the electric era, while its dedicated EV platform marks a major shift for the brand.

With a 154km claimed range, 115kmph top speed, 124kg kerb weight and extensive technology, the C6 establishes a clear identity in the premium electric motorcycle market. Its premium price and unconventional design may determine how quickly buyers embrace it, but the C6 gives Royal Enfield a distinct starting point for its electric ambitions.
