Crypto News Today: Top Headlines Impacting Prices

Binance Releases More Assets for Withdrawal

Binance will release additional assets for withdrawal from 04:00 UTC on Tuesday as security checks conclude. The first reopening took place on November 1, with phased access beginning with Bitcoin. Net customer outflows reached USD 3.64 billion that day.

Binance says it has covered 95% of the USD 6.3 billion hack. Heavy withdrawals test spot liquidity across major pairs. Traders will watch whether outflows slow as more tokens go live. Bitcoin already reflects that caution.

Elliptic Traces Stolen Binance Funds

Elliptic found that stolen Binance funds passed through about 12,000 wallets in under four days. The operation spanned 11 blockchains. The firm judged that only a negligible amount had likely been cashed out.

TRM Labs linked the theft to North Korea's TraderTraitor group, and the FBI says it is engaged with partners. Pyongyang denies the allegations. Binance froze roughly USD 3 billion of affected assets.

Strategy Resumes Buying After a One-Week Pause

A Form 8-K filed on November 2 shows Strategy bought 811 BTC for USD 65.5 million. Purchases ran from October 26 to November 1 at an average of USD 80,846. Holdings now total 849,327 BTC.

Strive also added 124 BTC, taking its total to 43,124 BTC. Strategy spent USD 208.2 million on STRC buybacks over the same week. Its average cost sits above today's price.

Bitcoin Slips Below USD 77,000 as Chip Rout Deepens

CoinDesk reports Bitcoin fell below USD 77,000 as a chip stock rout deepened before the midterm vote. CoinGecko data shows a 24-hour range of USD 76,600 to USD 78,600. Price now sits near the bottom of that band.

Nasdaq fell 1.07% and the S&P 500 lost 0.51%, according to WazirX. The Dow gained 0.41%, so pressure sat mostly on technology shares. Crypto weakness fits that cautious tone.

US Midterms Test Crypto Policy Hopes

Voting for the US midterms is underway today. The crypto industry has spent about USD 170 million ahead of the elections, according to Altcoin Buzz. Prediction markets give Democrats a 94% chance of winning the House.

QCP priced implied volatility around the vote at 47%, with demand for downside protection remaining elevated. Market structure legislation could shift with the outcome. Hilbert Group's CIO warns Bitcoin may underestimate a Democratic win.
