Bitcoin price predictions from nine AI models have placed the cryptocurrency between USD 82,482 and USD 112,000 by December 2026, despite its recent market decline.
An October 29 Bitcoin.com News report compared forecasts from nine chatbots, including ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, and DeepSeek. ChatGPT projected USD 88,000 by year-end, while DeepSeek gave the highest estimate of USD 112,000.
The forecasts come as Bitcoin struggles to regain its October 2025 record of USD 126,080. At the USD 80,626 price cited in an earlier analysis, Bitcoin stood about 36% below that peak. A recovery to its all-time high would require a gain of more than 56% from that level.
The Bitcoin.com experiment asked each chatbot to predict Bitcoin's price on December 31, 2026, based on current market conditions. The models considered institutional demand, recent trading activity and Federal Reserve policy.
Pi AI placed Bitcoin at USD 82,482 by year-end, while Grok gave a slightly higher forecast of USD 85,000. Gemini expected the price to reach USD 88,500, compared with Qwen's USD 89,687. Venice AI and ChatGPT both settled on USD 88,000, while DeepSeek stood apart with a much higher prediction of USD 112,000.
Although the models examined similar market conditions, their forecasts differed. The figures came from individual chatbot responses rather than independently tested forecasting systems, making their accuracy uncertain.
A separate October 29 report from 24/7 Wall St. identified October 2027 as a possible month for Bitcoin to regain its previous record, based on a ChatGPT forecast.
According to the publication, ChatGPT assigned Bitcoin an 8% chance of reaching a new high before December 2026. That probability increased to 60% by the end of 2027, although the estimates were not based on a validated statistical model.
The report also estimated that Bitcoin would need a market capitalization near USD 2.53 trillion to trade around USD 126,000 again.
Stronger institutional buying could move that timeline forward. The report cited June 2027 as another possible target if spot Bitcoin ETF inflows remain strong over the coming months.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded USD 17.07 million in net inflows on October 29, down from USD 137.3 million the previous day. The latest inflows marked a fourth consecutive positive session, bringing cumulative net inflows to USD 57.62 billion.
The funds had briefly returned to positive net flows for October after three consecutive days of inflows reversed previous withdrawals. Still, daily inflows have varied, leaving uncertainty over whether institutional buying can maintain its recent pace.
Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate between 3.75% and 4% on October 28. Two policymakers voted for an increase, while the majority supported leaving rates unchanged. The central bank also said inflation remained elevated.
Bitcoin's next halving is expected in April 2028, when the reward miners receive for adding new blocks will fall by half. The event will reduce the rate at which new Bitcoin enters circulation.
The 24/7 Wall St. report cited a ChatGPT-generated 72% probability of Bitcoin reaching a new record by halving. The 72% estimate remains uncertain, as the halving will reduce new Bitcoin supply without necessarily attracting more buyers.
With around 20.1 million BTC already in circulation, demand from investors and institutions will remain an important factor in future price movements.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at USD 77,875.04, down 2.65% over the past 24 hours.
