Oppo Find X10 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Camera Comparison

Two Camera Flagships, One Question: Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max and Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra both lead their brands’ camera efforts. Oppo launched its phone in China in September 2026, while Samsung’s flagship arrived earlier this year. This comparison relies on published specifications and early reviews, not a controlled head-to-head test, treat verdicts as provisional.

Main Camera: Both phones use 200MP main sensors. Oppo’s is a 1/1.3-inch Samsung HPC with optical stabilisation and 17EV HDR support. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra gets a wider f/1.4 aperture, up from f/1.7, to capture more light, which helps indoors and at night. Sensor size and tuning will ultimately decide real-world results.

Ultrawide Lens: Oppo fits a 200MP ultrawide, a first among phones according to one early review. Samsung’s ultrawide shoots at f/1.9, and GSMArena called this generation’s camera upgrades trivial. Oppo looks stronger here on paper, though resolution alone doesn’t guarantee better wide shots, and real-world samples from independent testers will matter most.

Telephoto and Zoom: Oppo’s third 200MP sensor sits behind a periscope telephoto, an unusually high resolution for a zoom camera. Samsung relies on a 5x periscope lens and its long zoom reach, and reviewers still call the Ultra a strong choice for distant subjects such as sports. Oppo’s zoom quality needs independent testing.

Video Capabilities: Oppo lists 4K 120fps Dolby Vision, Open Gate capture and 8K Log recording, targeting serious video creators. Samsung’s S26 Ultra answers with Horizon Lock stabilisation and support for the APV video codec, a first for a Galaxy phone. Both target filmmakers, with Oppo stronger on formats and Samsung on stabilisation.

Selfies and Independent Scores: Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max carries a 50MP front camera and Hasselblad branding. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has an independent score: DxOMark gave it 157, six points above its predecessor. Digital Camera World rated its camera 8 out of 10. No independent camera score for Oppo’s phone was found yet.

The Verdict: On paper, Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max has the bolder camera system, with three 200MP sensors and wide video formats. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is the proven performer, with a strong DxOMark score. Until independent tests are published, Samsung is the safer pick overall and Oppo the more ambitious one.
