Binance Hack Wallet Moves USD 101 Million

A cryptocurrency wallet linked to Binance's USD 6.3 billion security hack transferred 80 million XRP, worth approximately USD 100.9 million, to two unidentified addresses on November 2, marking the first major movement of stolen assets. Blockchain monitoring service Whale Alert recorded the second transfer at 03:56:21 UTC, exactly 50 seconds after another 40 million XRP left the same wallet.

Each transaction was valued at around USD 50.5 million. The transfers came just a day after Binance resumed cryptocurrency withdrawals and reported replacing about 95% of the assets affected by the attack. Both transactions originated from the XRP Ledger address rK21t6nGLy4MNDqhvy3pGwcLFy25qgfzMx, labeled ‘Binance Hack 2026’ by Whale Alert.

RLUSD Supply on XRP Ledger Falls

Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin recorded a sharp supply contraction on the XRP Ledger at the end of October, with around USD 284 million disappearing from circulation in a single day.

DefiLlama recorded a 28.7% decline in RLUSD supply on XRPL to approximately 707 million tokens. However, blockchain observations showed that one sampled trading pool lost less than 1% of its XRP reserves while its RLUSD holdings actually increased.

The divergence comes shortly after XRPL reported USD 1.03 billion in stablecoin supply at the end of the third quarter. An analysis by Coindaro shows approximately 306.4 million RLUSD returned through 12 large payments, partially offset by 22 million newly issued tokens. The resulting net reduction was approximately USD 284.4 million.

The wallet’s rapid buying spree followed an earlier purchase of 16,658 ETH using nearly USD 38 million in USDC. The address continued adding to its position, bringing the total purchase value to more than USD 62 million. The activity also shows the investor is willing to deploy substantial capital while Ethereum remained under pressure.

BTCPay Server Warns of Wallet Drains

BTCPay Server has warned users to shut down their payment servers after receiving reports of attackers gaining unauthorized access to older installations and draining funds from connected Bitcoin hot wallets.

The warning initially applied to all users while the team worked to determine how attackers were gaining access. A subsequent investigation narrowed the suspected attack vector to installations running version 2.4.1, released on July 23, 2026, or earlier.

After withdrawals resumed, the exchange reported approximately USD 3.64 billion in net outflows during the first nine and a half hours of restored services.
