Xiaomi is preparing to launch its new 17T series later this month, and recent leaks show big changes coming to the Pro model. The new smartphone will likely lead the mid-range market with a massive battery and a high-end processor. These details surfaced just ahead of the expected May launch, with sales and ads planned to run through the end of June.

A New Standard for Battery Life

The most exciting news for Xiaomi 17T Pro is its 7,000mAh battery. This is a big jump for this type of phone and should help it last much longer than previous models. To keep users from waiting, the phone supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The standard Xiaomi 17T is also getting a boost with a 6,500mAh battery and 67W fast charging, making both models great for people who use their phone all day.

High-End Performance and Display

On the front, the Pro model features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED screen. It has a 1.5K resolution and a very fast 144Hz refresh rate, which ensures smooth gaming and video streaming. The flagship model uses the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. It also comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of fast storage. Both the standard and Pro models will run on HyperOS 3 based on the new Android 16 system.

Professional Camera Setup and Pricing

Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a 50MP main sensor along with a 50MP telephoto lens that offers 5x optical zoom. There is also a 12MP ultrawide camera for capturing larger scenes. Early leaks suggest the Pro model will cost approximately EUR 999, while the standard version will start at EUR 749. These prices and high-end parts show that Xiaomi wants to challenge the top brands in the global market.

Xiaomi Pushes the Limits of Mid-Range Phones

Xiaomi is smart to focus on battery life, which is a top concern for most buyers today. By putting a 7,000mAh cell in a sleek phone, it is giving users a real reason to upgrade. If these leaks hold true, 17T Pro will be a great choice, especially for people who want flagship power without paying the highest prices.
