WhatsApp introduces a new feature to block spam numbers directly from the lock screen.

The latest feature now allows users to block a message which earlier was a three-step process. 

The new feature can be used by tapping on the Block option found in the quick actions' menu available in the notification.

The new WhatsApp feature provides users a quick two-tap option to block any contacts who send them suspicious messages

WhatsApp is also educating users to identify a phishing attempt that asks users to click on a link and share personal information.
