Microsoft is Entering the Ad Monopoly and is Building a ‘Super App’ to Compete
Microsoft Corp recently considered building a "super app" that could include shopping, messaging, news, and web search services among others.
The Windows maker prided itself, on planning to build the app to unhinge the hold of Alphabet Inc's Google and Apple Inc on the mobile search space.
Microsoft executives wanted the app to also boost the company’s multibillion-dollar advertising business and Bing searches and to draw more users to the Teams messaging.
