Google Maps Integrates ONDC for Metro Ticket Booking in India
Google Maps has announced a partnership with Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a government of India initiative, to enable metro ticket booking within the app.
The feature will allow users to book metro tickets and find authoritative information about metro transport in various cities, such as routes, fares, timings, and availability.
he feature will be rolled out in the next few months and will support most iPad models that support the Apple Pencil.
The feature is part of Google's efforts to make public transportation more accessible, convenient, and safe for users in India.
The feature is also aligned with ONDC's vision to create an open and interoperable digital commerce ecosystem in India.
