AI ML can significantly bring down Spam Calls
There has been a surge in spam calls from Indonesia (+62), Kenya (+254), Ethiopia (+251), Malaysia (+60), and Vietnam (+84), promising job offers.
To combat the issue, the popular messaging app WhatsApp has implemented backend updates by increasing its AL and ML systems.
According to WhatsApp, implementing AL and ML systems can reduce the rate of spam calls to 50%.
This has garnered the attention of the Indian Government.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has mandated AI/ML detection systems for telcos to combat spam calls and texts from UTIs.
