AI Expert Warns Tech May One Day Dominate Humanity
Geoffrey Hinton, known as the "Godfather of Artificial Intelligence," has warned of the hazards of AI.
In an interview with 60 Minutes, the British computer scientist and cognitive psychologist stated, "I think in five years' time, it may well be able to reason better than us."
Mr Hinton is well-known for his work on the AI framework. He questioned if people really comprehend the rapidly developing technologies.
"I think we're moving into a period when for the first time ever, we have things more intelligent than us," Hinton remarked.
Understanding what technology is thinking, he claims, is just as challenging as reading a human mind.
