BGMI 4.0 Update Live Now: Check What’s in Store

Launch & Timing: The BGMI 4.0 ‘Spooky Soiree’ update went live on September 11, 2025. On Android, rollout started at 6:30 AM IST (30% users), increasing to 50% by 9:30 AM and full availability by 11:30 AM. The iOS version was made available to all users by 11:30 AM IST. For Android users preferring APK, the official website offered it from around 12:30 PM.

How to Download on Android & iOS: Android users can update via the Google Play Store by searching ‘BGMI’ and pressing ‘Update’, or install the APK from the official site after enabling ‘unknown sources.’  iOS players should open the App Store, search for BGMI, and tap ‘Update.’ After installation, both platforms require some in-game resource downloads to access all new content. 

Size & Space Requirements: Because the BGMI 4.0 update includes new content and assets, users are advised to have ample free storage. Specifically, at least 3 GB of free space is suggested so that both the update and additional downloaded game content can be accommodated without issues. Also, using stable Wi-Fi is encouraged to avoid disruptions and data overuse while downloading.

New Features & Modes: The ‘Spooky Soiree’ mode introduces a haunted mansion with winding labyrinths, eerie gardens, and hidden ghostly treasures for players to explore. There is now a Ghostie Companion who assists players, offering abilities like deploying shields, healing allies, flying with balloons, or repairing armor. A ‘Prankster Ghost’ mechanic lets fallen players continue contributing by laying traps or revealing enemy positions. 

New Weapons & Vehicles: This update adds fresh gameplay tools: a Mortar weapon that delivers explosive power, plus vehicles such as flying brooms that enhance agility and mobility across the map. These additions change strategic play, giving players new offensive-defensive dynamics to consider. Combined with ghost mechanics and haunted terrain, the weapons and vehicles amplify tension and excitement in matches. 

Special Events & Rewards: BGMI 4.0 includes special events tied to its Spooky Soiree theme: limited-time challenges, loot giveaways, and possibly collaborations. Players can participate to earn themed rewards, skins, or cosmetics unique to this Halloween-style update. Events likely encourage team competitions and milestone achievements to boost engagement among community members.
