Xiaomi again increased the price of Xiaomi 17T in India. Since the model was introduced in the Indian market this June, it’s the second time it witnessed a price rise of Rs. 5,000. Notably, both variants become costly after the increase. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, which was previously priced at Rs. 64,999, is now available at Rs. 69,999.

Similarly, the 12GB RAM and 512GB version is priced at Rs. 74,999, which was previously at Rs. 69,999. However, the previous prices were also not the original price that the smartphones had during launch. In June, when these models came, they were priced at Rs. 59,999 and Rs. 64,999, respectively. This means the Xiaomi 17T is now Rs. 10,000 costlier than its launch price. The new prices came into effect on October 1.

The Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, the model runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip and packs a 6,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It also has Leica-tuned cameras, including a 50-megapixel main and periscope camera, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The model is available in Black, Blue, and Violet finishes.

Xiaomi 17T Price Hike Comes Before Festive Sales

The timing of the new price is worth noting. The hike comes just as India enters the festive shopping season. This is the time when Indian buyers upgrade their electronic gadgets, including smartphones, during online discounts. Brands generally offer heavy discounts on the most popular models to increase sales.

For buyers, the final sale price may now matter more than the discount shown on the screen. A phone can carry a large festive discount but still cost more than it did before the price hike. Checking the old price, new price, and final offer matters.

Buyers who generally wait for festive offers may now need to look closely at the final deal before making a decision. The phone may still get discounts during upcoming sales, but its official price has risen again.
