Xbox Game Pass October lineup is here. This time Microsoft is adding several renowned titles, including Gears of War: E-Day. Though this game steals most attention, it's not the only game to focus on. Several smaller games are also joining the service. They cover different types of gameplay, from relaxing tasks and arcade action to survival and platforming. The October lineup includes:
Gears of War: E-Day (October 6)
Echo Weaver (October 8)
Deep Dish Dungeon (October 13)
Valor Mortis (October 13)
Beyond These Stars (October 15)
The Séance of Blake Manor (October 27)
Terrible Lizards (October 29)
Each game offers something different. Gears of War: E-Day brings shooting and action, while Echo Weaver presents a knowledge-based Metroidvania. Similarly, Deep Dish Dungeon is a dungeon crawler, Valor Mortis brings a soulslike experience, and Beyond These Stars offers a space adventure.
Those who prefer investigation-based games, The Séance of Blake Manor is a perfect choice for them. Finally, horror game fans shouldn’t miss the chance to dive into Terrible Lizards. This title presents a horror parkour experience that players hardly forget.

The less familiar games may be the most interesting part of the October list. Game Pass gives players an easy way to try titles they may not have noticed before. Alternatively, even if they notice, they are scared to spend money on them.
A game does not always need to be a major release to find players on Game Pass. Subscribers can try new titles without buying each one separately. This could give games such as Terrible Lizards or Beyond These Stars more attention.
The October line-up is also a good mix of big and small releases. Gears of War: E-Day may bring in players, but the other games could give them reasons to stay and explore.
