Three listed companies—Taal Tech, Midwest Energy and Naturite Agro Products—have scheduled record dates for stock splits in the coming week. The corporate actions will increase outstanding shares while reducing the face value of each share in the announced ratio.

A stock split does not change a company’s market capitalisation simply because the company creates more shares. It also does not increase the total value of an investor’s holding at the time of the split. However, a lower share price may make trading more accessible to retail investors.

Stock Split Eligibility Under T+1 Settlement

Under India’s T+1 settlement system, investors generally need to buy shares before the record date to qualify for a corporate action. The transaction must settle in time for the company to recognise the buyer as an eligible shareholder on the record date.

For the companies with record dates next week, investors should therefore track the trading day immediately before each record date. Market holidays can affect the cut-off, so investors should also check exchange calendars and company filings before placing a trade.

Taal Tech Sets September 22 Record Date

Taal Tech has announced a 1:5 stock split and fixed September 22, 2026, as the record date. Under the announced ratio, the split will turn every one existing share into five shares. The adjustment keeps the combined value of the holding unchanged initially, although normal market price movements can change its value later.

Based on the record date, September 21 would serve as the final trading day for investors seeking eligibility under the normal T+1 settlement cycle. The source report cited Trendlyne data showing investor Mukul Agrawal held about a 9% stake in the engineering services company at the end of the April-June quarter of FY27. Taal Tech shares have gained about 81% in 2026 and around 29% over the past month.

Midwest Energy Plans 1:10 Stock Split

Midwest Energy has set September 25, 2026, as the record date for its 1:10 stock split. The company operates in mineral exploration, mining, mineral processing and the sale and global distribution of natural stone products.

Under a 1:10 split, one existing share will become 10 shares. For example, an investor holding 10 shares with a face value of Rs 10 each would receive 100 shares with a face value of Rs 1 each. The aggregate face value would remain Rs 100. Midwest Energy shares have fallen more than 25% in 2026 but have gained about 52% over one year.

Naturite Agro Products Fixes September 25 Record Date

Naturite Agro Products has also selected September 25, 2026, as the record date for its stock split. The company makes specialty agri-based ingredients, including spice oils and oleoresins, and has announced a 1:2 split.

The split will turn each existing share into two shares. An investor holding 10 shares with a face value of Rs 10 each would receive 20 shares with a face value of Rs 5 each while the aggregate face value would remain unchanged. Naturite Agro Products shares have declined about 31% so far in 2026 and nearly 50% over the past year.

Investors tracking these stock split record dates should check official exchange disclosures for eligibility details. Stock splits change the number and face value of shares but do not, by themselves, create additional value for shareholders.
