Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2026 is set to begin on September 22 in Maui, Hawaii, with the chipmaker preparing to unveil its next generation of flagship mobile technology. The three-day event will run through September 24, with the opening day focused heavily on mobile platforms and Qualcomm’s broader vision for the ‘agentic AI’ era.
Qualcomm already teased two new Snapdragon 8 Elite chips for the September 22 reveal. While the company has not publicly confirmed their commercial names, reports and leaks point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
The biggest announcement is expected to be Qualcomm’s next flagship smartphone processors. Both chips are widely tipped to use a 2nm manufacturing process, potentially bringing improvements in performance and power efficiency over the current generation.
Leaks suggest the higher-end Pro model could support faster LPDDR6 memory, while the standard version may continue with LPDDR5X. The Pro chip is also expected to feature upgraded graphics hardware and UFS 5.0 storage. These specifications, however, remain unofficial until Qualcomm takes the stage.
Qualcomm has already confirmed new GPU technology, including Adreno Matrix Cores designed for AI workloads and Adreno Neural Fusion, which combines neural processing with advanced rendering techniques.
The summit will go beyond smartphone processors. Qualcomm has positioned agentic AI as one of the central themes of this year's event, with sessions covering personal AI, sound, computing and the development of AI-powered devices.
The company is also expected to showcase developments in extended reality and personal computing. Qualcomm's broader Snapdragon portfolio now spans smartphones, PCs, XR devices, wearables and automotive platforms, making the summit an important showcase for its push toward on-device and cross-device AI.

The new Snapdragon flagship chips are expected to reach smartphones soon after their announcement. Xiaomi, iQOO and OnePlus are among the brands linked to upcoming devices using the next-generation platforms, although individual launch schedules can vary by market.
For Indian consumers, the first wave of devices could arrive toward the end of 2026 and into early 2027. The exact models, pricing and India launch dates will depend on individual manufacturers.
With Qualcomm confirming the September 22 reveal, the focus now shifts to the company's official specifications, performance claims and partner announcements. The Snapdragon Summit could also provide a clearer picture of how Qualcomm plans to position its flagship chips as smartphone makers increasingly compete on AI, gaming and power efficiency.
