Fortnite is renowned for its battle royale mode. However, last year, after Epic Games introduced the LEGO mode, it created a separate fanbase. The sandbox mode offers players a completely different experience, and to enhance it further, Epic Games has unveiled the highly anticipated Expeditions mode for LEGO Fortnite.

The new game mode is reportedly going to hit the game on June 18. This season, Fortnite is mainly focused on superheroes, and the Expedition mode will add similar content. Set to redefine cooperative play, this update brings three different Hero Classes, including Shadow Caller, the Rift Ripper, and the Hunter.

LEGO Fortnite Hero Classes Unleashed: From Shadow Caller to Rift Ripper

Unlike the previous modes, including LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, LEGO Fortnite Expedition will focus on actions. In a recent post, Epic Games has clarified that, in this mode, players will be able to rank up their Shadow Caller, Rift Ripper, or Hunter characters. Moreover, players can claim new decorations and loading screens between June 18 and June 23.

As for the character classes, Shadow Callers channel chaotic energy to survey the battlefield from above. Players can switch to this class in the middle of a combat to summon invulnerable raven flocks. Shadow Callers can deploy healing as well. So, players can either use it as a DPS class or a supportive class as per the requirement.

The next class introduced to the game is the Rift Rippers. It’s an aggressive class that can throw bombs at enemies, summon Rift Crystals for AOE damage, and when they are near crystals, they receive buffed stats. Rift Jump and Dodge are their key abilities.

The Hunter isn’t as good as the other two Hero Classes. Still, it is a precision assassin class that can close gaps with grapple hooks in seconds. They can set traps for enemies to dominate the battle

LEGO Fortnite: How To Join Expeditions Mode?

The trailer has shown heroes from the Battle Pass. However, Epic Games has clarified that players will be able to use any Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass skin they own in the LEGO mode. The most exciting part is this 4-player cooperative mode has seamless access across gameplay. While one can access this mode through the Discovery section, they can also get into the Expedition mode by boarding the Battle Bus in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey or LEGO Fortnite Brick Life.

Moreover, the official announcement mentioned these Hero Classes will make their way to the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey sometime in the future. The date is still unsure, though. For now, players can enjoy them in the Expedition mode only.

Conclusion

Fortnite often gets updates to include limited-time collaboration events. However, Epic Games not only cares about the battle royale mode, but it plans for the LEGO Fortnite mode as well. From improved PvE experience and hero-class depth to interesting missions, the Expedition mode has loads of content to explore. This rich addition of content heightens the expectation to get more exciting modes and updates in the future.
