Realme has recently launched its latest affordable smartphone, the Realme 14x 5G, which will be launched on 18 December in India. The device will be sold on the Realme website and Flipkart at 12 PM IST on the same day.
As a value-conscious offering, the smartphone offers flagship-like features such as IP69 dust, Water Resistance, and military-grade durability in a price-conscious spectrum.
Realme 14x 5G is the first smartphone under 15,000 INR with an IP69 dust and water protection rating. It also has the MIL-STD 810H certification, which allows it to withstand shock and other adverse conditions. These durability features make the device quite appealing to users, who need it to be as dependable in the environment as possible.
The design aligns with Realme’s design; The flat frame is paired with a slim rear panel that takes inspiration from the ‘diamond-like’ nature of toughness. When exposed to a light source for beautification, the rear panel provides a gleaming aspect. The triple-camera setup is arranged vertically within a rectangular module, and the phone comes in three color options: Crystal Black, Golden Glow, and Jewel Red.
The Realme 14x 5G is packed with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. It also allows for increasing virtual RAM to 10 GB for better multitasking. The design incorporates a 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate to smooth scrolling for basic usage.
Battery capacity is another feature of the 14x 5G. The device has a 6,000mAh battery, the largest size in this segment. It can support up to 45W fast charging, helping users charge less frequently. The smartphone software runs Realme UI 5.0 on Android 14, a modern and optimized UI.
For Photography, the device has a 50 MP primary sensor as part of its dual Camera system that provides clear and crisp shots. Some details remain unknown about the second camera, while the main characteristics of the 8MP front camera guarantee good quality selfies and video calls.
The Realme 14x 5G will be available on Flipkart and the official Realme website starting December 18th. The starting price is expected to be ₹14,999, making it an affordable 5G smartphone. Thus, due to features like durability and high-performing smartphones, while being affordable, Realme 14x 5G will target a large audience.
