According to Barchart, OnlyFans has become a company that makes the most revenue per employee in the world. The platform earns $37.6 million for each employee. This figure is far higher than the large tech companies like Apple and NVIDIA.
OnlyFans comprises 42 employees and earns $1.3 billion every year. In comparison, NVIDIA earns $3.6 million per employee, Apple $2.4 million, Meta $2.2 million, and Google $1.9 million. Microsoft and OpenAI earn around $1.1 million per worker.
The reason for this high revenue is OnlyFans’ simple and efficient model. The platform supports more than 2.1 million content creators. These creators earn money directly from their fans through subscriptions, tips, and pay-per-view content. OnlyFans keeps 20% of what creators earn and gives 80% to the creators themselves.
Even though its total revenue is less than Apple’s or Google’s, OnlyFans shows how a platform can make millions with just a few employees. Unlike tech giants that need large teams for research, product development, and hardware, OnlyFans runs with a small team focused on technology, payment, and content management.
Platforms like OnlyFans utilize user-generated content to expand rapidly. They can make high revenue with very few employees. This model gives creators more control over their earnings and shows that small teams can generate significant revenue if they work smart.
OnlyFans also faces rules and taxes. In Ukraine, cases related to pornography increased by 13% in 2024. Citizens reportedly owe around 400 million Ukrainian hryvnia from OnlyFans income. However, the platform works worldwide and continues to grow, mainly through adult content.
The platform’s $37.6 million revenue per employee shows how small teams can succeed in the digital world. OnlyFans proves that a simple platform with creators can earn more per person than huge tech companies. This is a clear example of how the creator economy is changing business.
