OnePlus has officially begun teasing the upcoming OnePlus 15R for the Indian audience. The official teasers hint that the premium R-series smartphone will soon make its global debut. Interestingly, the teaser went live soon after the launch of OnePlus 15 and confirms that the brand is preparing a strong mid-premium contender for the Indian market.
OnePlus hasn’t yet disclosed the official launch date, but reports suggest it may appear around the middle of December. For pricing, users expect the upcoming model to be less expensive than OnePlus 15 and become a perfect choice for performance-focused users.
The OnePlus India website now officially shows the ‘Coming Soon’ banner for the OnePlus 15R, highlighting that the company is ready with the flagship model. Multiple reports indicate the launch pattern of 15R will be the same as OnePlus 15. First it will be launched in China and then come to the global market.
About the official price range, there’s no announcement, but leaks suggest that it will be somewhere between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 49,999, which will place 15R as a premium-mid-range device for those who look for a near-flagship performance without paying top-tier prices.
Reportedly, OnePlus has reworked the alert slider on 15R and replaced it with a Plus Key, which will be a programmable shortcut button designed to implement quick actions like opening the camera, setting profiles, or launching apps. This effort differentiates the model from previous R series smartphones.
OnePlus 15R’s dedicated website banner has been revealing some of its features officially. For example, it is now confirmed that the smartphone will run on Android 16-powered OxygenOS 16 update.
Among the rumored and expected features, the smartphone seems to bring the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. About the display, the smartphone is supposed to add a 6.83-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.
Moreover, the device may pack a 7,800 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The camera section of the smartphone may include a 50MP OIS main sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, plus a 16MP front camera for selfies.
Additional features may include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and dual stereo speakers, showcasing well-built hardware.
