Nothing, the London-based technology brand, has appointed Himanshu Tandon as Vice President of Business for its sub-brand, CMF. The move emphasizes India’s growing role as a global hub for the company’s expansion.

Himanshu Tandon’s Journey and Achievements

Tandon recently stepped down as the Country Head of POCO India, where he played an important role in improving the brand’s presence in the competitive smartphone market. His leadership brought him industry recognition. He was mentioned in the Times 40 Under 40, Tech Personality of the Year 2023, and Economic Times Most Promising Leader of Asia.

At CMF by Nothing, Tandon’s role will be to lead global strategy, growth, and go-to-market plans. The company aims to expand its reach in global markets, with India serving as the launchpad.

Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, said that CMF stands out with its design and user-focused approach in a market often filled with compromises. He praised Tandon’s proven track record and added that his insights will shape the next phase of CMF’s growth.

India at the Center of CMF’s Global Plans

CMF, which offers budget and mid-range smartphones along with earbuds and smartwatches, recently shifted its marketing operations to India. This step underlines the country’s importance in the company’s global roadmap.

Speaking about his new role, Tandon said that Nothing has become one of the most exciting and disruptive brands of the past decade. He shared that CMF has grown into a name that speaks directly to today’s youth. His goal is to make the brand a cultural symbol for Gen Z and young consumers worldwide.

Nothing has been recording strong growth, with a 229 % year-on-year rise in Q2 2025. The appointment of Tandon comes at a time when the brand is looking to strengthen its leadership and push deeper into global markets.

With India now at the center of CMF’s plans, the brand is expected to combine bold design, fresh ideas, and Tandon’s leadership to expand its presence. This appointment also signals a clear strategy: build from India to capture the global mass-market with products that connect with young users everywhere.
