Mitroplus Labs Africa, Uganda’s Blockchain education institution, has launched a new meme token, ‘Afro,’ on Tron’s Sunpump platform. This new token, represented by an African girl, is envisioned to promote African identity within the blockchain space.. This will also boost the educational value of cryptocurrency in the African region.

The release of Afro is distinctive from typical meme coins that commonly have appeal with animals or fictional characters. According to Ivaibi Festo of Mitroplus Labs Africa, the meme represents an African girl. Thus, the community has appreciated it, and as of September 24, it is among the top fifteen most trending memes on the Sunpump network.

Educational Drive and Community Engagement

Afro is not just a token but a movement whose only purpose is to educate and help Africans integrate into the blockchain. According to Mitroplus Labs Africa, it will use Afro to organise education seminars and conferences throughout Africa to spread knowledge and create communities.

To understand why the Afro token was created, Ivaibi Festo said that he made it for meme coin development education of the community, where it scales in meme price from $40000 market capitalization to $7 billion. It is in tune with a larger aspiration of showcasing the institution’s capacity to design utility tokens that have practical applications in the real world and incorporate the spirit of the community.

Crypto Growth Embracing Volatility

Although Afro stock has reached its peak at $12 million, it has experienced the volatility characteristic of cryptocurrency markets.

Festo, who also focuses on long-term trading and technical analysis, defined these movements as ‘’healthy’’ pullback and retrace and looked for opportunities for entry for new investors and invested communities at these declines. Such market dynamics are expected to garner more attention as Afro gains more adoption in educational and blockchain spaces across the continent.

Mitroplus Labs Africa is focused on openness and tangible connection with its audience. It is not involved in projects with no real audience interaction. Festo further noted, “If you are not planning to rug pull a project, then it should be completely okay to physically interact with its community.”
