Jeff Bezos plans to raise $100 billion for a new investment fund to acquire companies in major industrial sectors and modernize them with artificial intelligence. The proposed fund is tied directly to Bezos’s AI startup, Project Prometheus, where he serves as co-founder and co-CEO alongside former Google executive Vik Bajaj. The venture launched with $6.2 billion in funding and focuses on building advanced AI models to improve industrial productivity.
Sources say the fund will help Prometheus deploy its technology inside acquired firms. The strategy aims to boost automation, streamline production, and improve engineering efficiency across legacy businesses.
The fund plans to target companies in aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, and defense.
