Infosys posted a strong start to FY27 with a 12.2% rise in net profit to Rs 7,769 crore for the June quarter. Revenue also increased 14% to Rs 48,211 crore. Along with the results, the company announced Ashiss Kumar Dash as its CEO designate.

He will become Managing Director and CEO on April 1, 2027, after Salil Parekh completes his second term. Infosys also reduced the upper end of its FY27 revenue growth guidance to 1.5% to 3% as global clients continue to spend carefully on technology.

The company said growth came mainly from the life sciences and financial services businesses. The US and Europe also delivered steady growth during the quarter. Profit was lower than the March quarter, although yearly earnings remained strong.

Ashiss Kumar Dash has spent more than 30 years at Infosys and currently leads several global business units. The board said his experience in technology, business operations, and customer management will help the company continue its next phase of growth.

Speaking after the announcement, Dash said, "Technology is entering a new era, with AI fundamentally reshaping how businesses operate and create value." He added that Infosys has a strong AI strategy, skilled employees, and trusted customer relationships to support future growth.

Salil Parekh said the company's AI platform, Infosys Topaz, continues to help win large client deals. Infosys signed $3.6 billion worth of large contracts during the quarter, showing steady demand even as companies remain careful with technology spending. The company said it will continue investing in AI skills and digital services to support long term growth.
