Huawei unveiled the Pura X View in China, bringing a wide-screen smartphone design, a 200-megapixel primary camera and a 7,000mAh battery to its premium lineup. The phone was unveiled alongside Huawei’s latest product announcements and will go on sale in China on September 9.
The Huawei Pura X View starts at CNY 5,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 6,999, while the 12GB + 1TB version is priced at CNY 8,499.
Huawei scheduled the first sale for September 9 in China. The company has not announced an India launch or international pricing yet.
The Pura X View takes a different approach to smartphone displays. It features a 6.39-inch OLED panel with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio. Making it considerably wider than conventional smartphones.
The display offers a 2232 × 1320-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Huawei also features Kunlun Glass for protection. The phone measures 6.68mm in thickness and weighs about 201 grams.
The smartphone carries a 200MP primary camera with an F/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide macro camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS.
The telephoto lens supports approximately 3.7x optical zoom. You also get Huawei’s second-generation Red Maple colour imaging technology. The Pura X View combines an unusual wide display with flagship-oriented cameras and a large battery.
