Music is always a big part of GTA games. Players have heard licensed songs through the series’ radio stations for years. GTA 6 is taking the idea a step further. Rockstar is not only picking songs for the game. It is bringing artists together to create new music linked to the game. The album will also exist outside GTA 6. Fans can stream the songs or buy them on physical formats, though the official price of the album is still unknown.

A game with a huge audience can put artists in front of millions of listeners. GTA 6 gives musicians another place to introduce their work. Players may also find new artists while playing the game. A song heard during a mission or on an in-game radio station can later become part of a player's regular playlist.
The GTA 6 album shows how gaming and music are getting closer. With 34 tracks and major artists involved, the soundtrack is more than mere background music.
