GTA 6 is dealing with another major leak just days before Rockstar’s next official showcase. New gameplay clips and images that appear to show the game’s map have begun circulating on social media. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has responded with DMCA takedown requests to remove some of the leaked content.

On August 20, the group leaked the fourth gameplay video that showcases knife combat, following the release of the full map and gameplay features. The video ends similarly to the previous ones. The cutscene advertises the same meme coin footage.  However, these videos have now been circulating on the internet for more than 24 hours.

A group called Cyberleek has claimed responsibility for the latest leaks. The group says it wants Rockstar and Take-Two to change some of their business practices. The group has raised concerns about digital pre-orders, paid single-player content and games that require an internet connection. It has also suggested that more material could be released if its demands are not met. However, the group’s crypto push has led many people to question its motives.

August 27 Makes the Leak More Important

The timing could not be worse for Rockstar, as the company has already confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look for August 27. The showcase is expected to give fans a fresh look at the game. This means the leaked footage has arrived just before Rockstar gets the chance to control the conversation. Some of the leaked clips reportedly show Jason during gameplay, while other images appear to reveal parts of the Vice City map.

Take-Two’s DMCA action has also added to the belief that at least some of the material could be real. Still, the company has not confirmed every detail seen online. Rockstar now has to deal with the leak while keeping attention on its planned showcase. Fans should also be careful with unofficial links, especially those connected to the meme coin.

The leak may have created another headache for Rockstar, but August 27 remains the bigger date. This is when fans will get official information straight from the studio.
