Google may soon launch Fitbit Air in India. The device has suddenly made an appearance in the Amazon India listing, which has led to speculation that Google is probably considering a launch in India. While the company has not shared a launch date, the listing strongly suggests that the device is close to release.
The wearable is priced around $99.99 in the US, indicating that it may be positioned in the premium segment of fitness trackers upon its launch in India. The speculations are hinting at a price range around Rs. 13,499 to Rs. 16,999.
Reports suggest that it will be compatible with both Android and iOS, and users can choose from different colors available, including Lavender. Additionally, customers in India will get a three-month subscription to Google Health Premium and get additional features of wellness after buying the gadget.
The major difference that sets Fitbit Air apart from others is that the gadget doesn’t have a screen like most smartwatches. Instead, it quietly records health data throughout the day. So, users don’t need to stare at the screen; instead, they can check the details through the Google Health app on their smartphone.
The Amazon listing says the Fitbit Air will feature Google Health Coach, a personal trainer powered by Gemini AI. It will be able to make personalized health recommendations based on the data it records. Additionally, it will track heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep tracking, and other vitals. Notably, Google has mentioned that only five minutes of charging is enough to keep the tracker powered for a whole day.

Fitbit Air does not offer calling, a touchscreen, apps, or message alerts; it focuses only on tracking health and fitness. A smaller design usually means better comfort and longer battery life. Many people also prefer a tracker that does not keep showing notifications all day.
However, users who want a watch for calls, messages, and apps may find a budget smartwatch to be a better fit. Fitbit Air is best for people who only want to keep an eye on their health without spending extra on features they may never use.
